Lockout service for basements – Murr

Whether it is a cellar door in a block of flats or a storage unit with a padlock in Murr: we come to you as a mobile service and open it, without damage wherever possible.

Is it the door to the cellar corridor or your own storage unit? Is there a cylinder or a padlock? Is the cellar part of the building’s master key system? With this information we can tell you the price.

Murr lies on the small river Murr between Marbach and Steinheim. There you typically find detached houses and properties with a yard. Cellars in blocks of flats often have one shared door and individual storage units. At the edge of the village it is dark at night. A light on the house or yard helps.

If the door is built like a flat door: slammed shut Mon–Fri 8 am–6 pm 99 €, Mon–Fri 6 pm–8 am, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays 149 €; locked 129 € or 179 € respectively. Padlocks, storage units and special locks have no list price; for these we tell you a fixed price in advance.

Tuesday, 1 pm, locked: 129 €. Tuesday, 1 pm, door slammed shut: 99 €. Sunday, 10 am, locked: 179 €. We confirm the exact amount by phone before we set off.

We look at the door and the lock, open it without damage if possible, and check with you that you are entitled to have it opened. With padlocks, cutting them open is sometimes the simplest way; we tell you that in advance.

Many cellar doors have a mortice lock with a euro profile cylinder like a flat door, often with a fixed knob outside and a handle inside. Others are steel fire doors, and others are just slatted partitions with a padlock. Only the first type has a list price; for the others we tell you a fixed price in advance.

For your basement storage unit, your ID card or passport together with your tenancy agreement or the name on the unit is usually enough. If anything is unclear, we ask the property management.

If water is running in the cellar and the door is shut, first call the property management or an emergency plumber. We open the door if nobody has a key; we tell you the price in advance.

We only open other people’s storage units with proof of entitlement. Have your tenancy agreement or other proof ready.

Buy a new padlock and keep a second key in your flat. For shared doors, let the property management know.
