Ludwigsburg Süd is around the railway station and the streets towards Kornwestheim. Typical buildings there are late 19th-century old buildings and blocks of flats from the 1950s. We ask to see an ID card or post with the address, so we are sure we are opening the right door. In old buildings the front door downstairs is often shut too. Tell us whether you can get into the stairwell.

Slammed shut 99 € Mon–Fri 8 am–6 pm, otherwise 149 €. Locked 129 € or 179 €. We tell you the amount on the phone before we set off.

Older people often just pull the door shut when taking out the rubbish or emptying the letterbox. Then only the latch has clicked into place. We can usually open this without damage. A key left in the cylinder on the inside can make the work harder; tell us if it is there.

Sadly, there are dubious firms that put older people under pressure at the door. Always ask for the total price before any work starts. Do not let anyone talk you into extra work. With us, the price we give you on the phone is the price that applies.

If the person is standing outside in winter or important medication is in the flat, tell us. Ask neighbours to bring the person inside until we arrive.

Don’t let anyone talk you into work you didn’t order. Always ask for the total price first. Don’t sign anything you don’t understand.

Write the phone numbers of your relatives and of the locksmith on a note in your purse or wallet. If you have a home emergency alarm, ask the provider about leaving a key with them.
