Lock change after a lost key – 74369

Your bunch of keys is gone, but the door in Löchgau still opens because someone has a spare key. Now is the right time for a new cylinder. We tell you the price in advance and come to you as a mobile service.

Quickly check the usual places and ask at the local lost property office (Fundbüro). If the key is really gone, call us. Tell us whether you can still get into the flat; the price depends on it.

The new cylinder has the same length as the old one, unless the old one stuck out too far. Then we choose a shorter one. The locking is new, and old keys no longer fit. If you want more protection, choose a security cylinder with a card.

If your key only locks your flat door, the case is simple: new cylinder, new keys, done. If it also locks the front door of the building, the basement and the letterbox, it is probably a master key system. Then the owner has to decide. In both cases, we tell you the price beforehand.

Check whether your liability or home contents insurance covers key loss before you have a master key system changed. Keep the invoice.

A spare key with family or neighbours saves money next time. With security cylinders, keep the security card separate from the key.
