Emergency locksmith for a stolen key – Sersheim

A stolen key is more serious than a lost one, because someone has it on purpose. In Sersheim (74372) we change the cylinder of your flat or front door. If you are locked out, we open the door first.

Report the theft to the police. Have your cards blocked (blocking hotline 116 116). Check whether your address or ID card was with the key. Then have the cylinder changed, ideally the same day.

Sersheim is on the Enz between Sachsenheim, Vaihingen and Oberriexingen, on the railway line. Typical buildings there are houses near the tracks and at the edge of the fields. If the address and key were together, the cylinder should not wait until tomorrow. At the edge of the fields, directions from the main road help.

Locked out: opening plus a new cylinder 148 € / 198 € (slammed shut) or 178 € / 228 € (locked), material typically 25–50 €. Door open: 89 € Mon–Fri 8 am–6 pm, otherwise 119 €.

Monday, 10:30 am, locked, opening and new cylinder: 178 € plus material. Monday, 10:30 am, slammed shut, opening only: 99 €. Monday, 7 pm, locked, opening and new cylinder: 228 € plus material. We confirm the exact amount by phone before we set off.

Check which door is affected. Open it if you are locked out. Change the cylinder, test the locking, hand over the keys. Invoice for your insurance or police report.

If the master key system cannot be changed straight away, a separate cylinder in the flat door is a temporary solution, if the landlord agrees. Keep the old cylinder.

Report the theft to the police. You need the confirmation for your insurance and your bank. Whether your home contents insurance pays for the cylinder change depends on your policy. With a master key system, tell the landlord, because the whole building may be affected.

Think of every door the key opens: front door, garage, letterbox. Keep the police report confirmation for your insurance.

Over the next few days, watch out for anything unusual around the building. Tell your neighbours if the key to the building’s front door was stolen.
