Neckarweihingen is on the Neckar north of Ludwigsburg, between Hoheneck, Poppenweiler and Freiberg. Typical buildings there are older houses on the village street and estate houses up on the slope. We always try a non-destructive opening first; only if that doesn’t work do we tell you beforehand what else is needed. Tell us whether you live down in the old village centre or up in the estate.

If you want a new cylinder straight away because the key was lost with your address: Opening plus a new cylinder on the same call-out: slammed shut 148 € / 198 €, locked 178 € / 228 €; cylinder material typically 25–50 € (standard).

Tuesday, 11 am, slammed shut, opening only: 99 €. Saturday, 12 pm, slammed shut, opening and new cylinder: 198 € plus material. Tuesday, 11 am, locked, opening and new cylinder: 178 € plus material. We confirm the exact amount by phone before we set off.

Arrive, look at the door, open it. If the door has slammed shut, we usually open it via the latch; if it is locked, via the cylinder. A new cylinder only once you say yes.

The latch is the slanted bolt that clicks into place when you pull the door shut. The bolt only comes out when you lock the door. We usually open doors that have slammed shut via the latch, without touching the cylinder. With locked doors we work on the cylinder. That is why we ask about it on the phone.

We only open the door if you live there or are authorised. Show your ID card or passport or, after opening, post with your address from inside the flat. This protects you from someone else having your door opened.

Trying it yourself with a card or wire and damaging the frame. Booking the first company you find without a fixed price. Forgetting whether the door was locked.

Find your second key and carry it from now on. Have a new spare key cut. If your address was on the lost key: change the cylinder.
