129 €
Fixed price, no VAT charged (§ 19 UStG) · Travel within the service area included
Locked means: the deadbolt is out — not just the latch. You are outside; the door was locked with the key or from inside. This fixed price covers exactly that situation: non-destructive opening at the profile cylinder, without a new cylinder and without drilling in the standard case of a typical flat door. The fixed price 129 € applies Mon–Fri 08:00–18:00 Europe/Berlin when there is no public holiday in Baden-Württemberg. Travel within the Ludwigsburg service area and surroundings is included. On the phone we name the amount before we drive. No “from” price, no hidden on-site surcharge for the standard service.
What “locked” means technically
On a locked door the deadbolt is extended. The spring latch alone is not enough — we work on the profile cylinder, non-destructively, as long as it stays a standard case. That is different from “slam-locked”. If only the latch holds, the slam opening applies with its own fixed price (99 € daytime). If you are unsure, we clarify latch versus deadbolt on the phone and name the matching fixed price before anyone sets out.
What is in the fixed price 129 €
Included are travel within the service area, labour for the locked opening, and an identity check before we open. We do not open unless we can confirm you are authorised. A new profile cylinder is not included. If the key is gone and you want a cylinder replaced on the same trip, there are separate fixed prices for opening and new cylinder in one visit (178 € daytime). If the door is already accessible and you only need the cylinder, the cylinder package (89 €) applies — not this opening page.
When this fixed price applies — and when it does not
This page covers the daytime price: Monday to Friday 8 am–6 pm German time, not on public holidays in Baden-Württemberg. Evenings, nights, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays use the night price of 179 € — its own page, its own fixed price, no surcharge “somewhere in between”. Difficulties such as multi-point locking, high-security cylinders or drilling are quoted beforehand as their own fixed price. Long travel outside the service area likewise. Inside the service area, travel is inside 129 €.
From the call to an open door
You call or write. We ask: locked or slammed shut, day or night price, address or postcode, whether a cylinder change is needed. Then we name the fixed price. Only after that do we set off. On site we check identity. Then we open non-destructively. If everything fits and no cylinder is needed, you are back inside — without a new key and without a materials invoice for a cylinder you did not order.
How this differs from related services
Locked at night/weekend/public holiday: separate page with 179 €. Slammed shut during the day: 99 €. Locked door opening plus new cylinder fitted on the same trip: 178 € (material extra). Fitting only after a paid opening: 49 €. Cylinder only, door already open: 89 €. This page does not replace any of the others. Each service has its own fixed price.
Service area, office and reachability
We come to you in Ludwigsburg and the surrounding area. Adalbert-Stifter-Straße 14 is our legal address — not a shop you can visit. The fixed price on the phone applies to the standard service in the service area. Reachable seven days, around the clock: during the day this price, outside daytime hours the night price. WhatsApp and email templates use the same prices. No invented “emergency surcharges” outside the published fixed prices.
Your town or postcode
Besides this page there are local pages for each place and postcode, with information about the area. The place or postcode only changes the local link; the fixed price stays 129 €. Local night pages keep the night price.
Fetch the spare key or have the door opened?
Before you call, it is worth thinking for a moment. Does your partner have a key at work, your mother in the next village or a friend down the street? Then weigh the journey there and back against your time. If the spare key is far away, nobody can be reached, or you need to get into the flat straight away, having the door opened is often the simpler option. The decision is entirely yours.
When a tradesperson or a delivery is waiting
During the day, appointments often depend on that door. The heating engineer is already standing in the courtyard, the sofa is being delivered, or the meter reader is due. First call the tradesperson or the delivery service and tell them that everything will be a little delayed. Ask whether they can come back later or wait for a short while. Then call us. That way you avoid an appointment being cancelled completely and having to be booked all over again.
Keys lost during the day: ask around while you wait
If you lost your bunch of keys somewhere in town, you can make a few calls while you wait for us. Ask at the café, the bakery or the shop where you were last. Report the loss to the lost property office (Fundbüro) of your town or municipality. Perhaps the keys will turn up again later. This does not change anything about the door opening itself, but it does matter for the question of whether you want to change the cylinder.
After the opening: keep the cylinder or change it?
If the key was simply left inside the flat, there is usually no reason for a new cylinder. It is different if the bunch was lost and your name or address was attached to it. In that case a stranger may know exactly which door the key opens. If you would like to change the cylinder straight away, fitting on the same visit costs 49 € plus material. It is best to tell us when you call.

Frequently asked questions
I am not sure whether I locked the door. What now?
Tell us on the phone whether the handle can still be pushed down and whether you turned the key when you left. We will then tell you the right fixed price before we set off.
What applies if my door has multi-point locking?
A door with multi-point locking that is locked does not have a list price. We tell you the fixed price on the phone beforehand, and then you decide.
Can my flatmate also ask for the door to be opened?
Yes, as long as they can show proof that they live there, for example an ID card or passport with the address, the tenancy agreement, or confirmation from neighbours or the property management.
