Lockout service for letterboxes – Pattonville

A letterbox is small but important: official letters, bank post, parcel notices. In Pattonville we come to you as a mobile service and open it, with a fixed price in advance.

For banks of letterboxes in blocks of flats, the property management often has a spare key or a spare lock. Ask them first.

On site we check the name on the letterbox and your ID card or passport. In Pattonville you typically find rows of houses from the time of the American housing estate and newer residential buildings. Tell us whether you live in the eastern or western part: the eastern part belongs to Remseck, the western part to Kornwestheim.

That depends on whether we only open it or whether a new lock should go in. We tell you the fixed amount on the phone in advance.

We only open letterboxes that have your name on them or that you are entitled to open. Afterwards we change the lock if you like.

Most letterboxes have a small lever lock or a mini cylinder that turns a bolt. Replacement locks come in many lengths and shapes. We measure beforehand so that the new lock fits and the flap closes tightly.

We only open letterboxes for the person whose name is on them, or with written authorisation. The privacy of correspondence applies to us too. Have your ID card or passport ready.

If there is an official letter with a deadline in the letterbox, tell us. Then we look for an early appointment. Deadlines often start when the letter is delivered to the letterbox, not when you read it; so it is worth not waiting long. Please clarify legal questions about this with the relevant authority.

Banks of letterboxes often belong to the landlord. A new lock should match the unit; we check this in advance.

It can make sense to keep your letterbox key separate from your flat key; then you do not lose everything at once.
