Slammed shut or locked?

During the day in Ludwigsburg Ost
During the day from Monday to Friday, many neighbours are at work, so a spare key is hard to get. Typical in Ludwigsburg Ost are late 19th-century villas, terraced houses and blocks of flats. For a door that has slammed shut, that’s no problem. With villas with a garden gate, please tell us which door is the problem.

What happens on site
We arrive, look at the door, confirm that it has only slammed shut, and open it. If it turns out the door was locked after all, we tell you before we carry on and give you the right price.
Latch, bolt, cylinder
The latch clicks in when you pull the door shut. The bolt only comes out when you lock the door. The cylinder is the part the key goes into. For a door slammed shut, we only need the latch; the bolt and cylinder stay untouched. That is why your key still works afterwards.
Why the latch is enough
The latch is the angled bolt that clicks into place when you pull the door closed. It keeps the door shut, but it doesn’t lock it. That’s why a slammed door is easier to open than a locked one, and that’s why the price is lower.
Only for residents
We only open doors for people who live there or who have the right to enter. If your ID is inside, show it to us after the opening. This protects you too.
Before you call
Spare key with a neighbour? Can you reach your landlord? If not, have your address, floor and the name on the doorbell ready.
What to watch out for
Ask every company: what does it cost in total? With us, you hear 99 € on the phone if the door has only slammed shut during the day from Monday to Friday.
After the opening
Check that your keys and phone are in your pocket before you pull the door closed next time. A spare key with people you trust saves money.
