Lockout service for letterboxes – 71254

Lost your letterbox key in Ditzingen and important post is waiting? We open letterboxes and fit a new lock if you wish. There is no list price for letterboxes; we tell you the fixed price in advance.

A single letterbox on a house, or a bank of letterboxes in a block of flats? Is there still a key? Should a new lock be fitted? With this information we can tell you the price.

We come to Ditzingen, about 12.6 km as the crow flies from the ikeytz office in Adalbert-Stifter-Straße. A letterbox is rarely an emergency; we will find an appointment, ideally Monday to Friday during the day. Tell us the district: Ditzingen, Hirschlanden, Heimerdingen or Schöckingen.

That depends on whether we only open it or whether a new lock should go in. We tell you the fixed amount on the phone in advance.

We only open letterboxes that have your name on them or that you are entitled to open. Afterwards we change the lock if you like.

Most letterboxes have a small lever lock or a mini cylinder that turns a bolt. Replacement locks come in many lengths and shapes. We measure beforehand so that the new lock fits and the flap closes tightly.

In blocks of flats, a letterbox in a shared unit usually belongs to the owner. A new lock should match the unit. We clarify this with you beforehand.

If there is an official letter with a deadline in the letterbox, tell us. Then we look for an early appointment. Deadlines often start when the letter is delivered to the letterbox, not when you read it; so it is worth not waiting long. Please clarify legal questions about this with the relevant authority.

Levering the flap open with a screwdriver. Buying a lock that does not match the letterbox unit.

Keep a second key in your flat. If a new lock is fitted, give the property management a key if they want one.
