Lock change after a lost key – 71696

Your bunch of keys is gone, but the door in Möglingen still opens because someone has a spare key. Now is the right time for a new cylinder. We tell you the price in advance and come to you as a mobile service.

Think about what else was on the key ring: front door, car, office, letterbox? Was your name or address on it? If so, the cylinder should be changed soon. If you rent and the key is part of a master key system, inform your landlord.

We come to you in Möglingen, about 6.7 km as the crow flies from the ikeytz office in Adalbert-Stifter-Straße. If you can still get in, it is a planned cylinder change. If you are locked out, we open the door first and then fit the new cylinder in the same trip. Tell us the street and a cross street; that saves searching.

Door open: 89 € Monday to Friday during the day, otherwise 119 €, standard cylinder included. If the door has to be opened first, the opening (99 € / 149 € slammed shut, 129 € / 179 € locked) is followed by fitting in the same trip for 49 €; the cylinder then typically costs 25–50 € (standard).

Wednesday, 4 pm, locked out, slammed shut, new cylinder: 148 € plus material. Wednesday, 4 pm, door open, cylinder only: 89 €. Wednesday, 10 pm, door open, cylinder only: 119 €. We confirm the exact amount by phone before we set off.

If you are inside, it is a simple swap: old cylinder out, new one in, test the lock. If you are outside, we first open the door without damage, if the door allows it, and then change the cylinder.

The new cylinder has the same length as the old one, unless the old one stuck out too far. Then we choose a shorter one. The locking is new, and old keys no longer fit. If you want more protection, choose a security cylinder with a card.

If your key only locks your flat door, the case is simple: new cylinder, new keys, done. If it also locks the front door of the building, the basement and the letterbox, it is probably a master key system. Then the owner has to decide. In both cases, we tell you the price beforehand.

Waiting, even though your address and key were lost together. Only thinking about the lock on the flat door, but forgetting the garage or letterbox. Sending someone out without a fixed price.

A spare key with family or neighbours saves money next time. With security cylinders, keep the security card separate from the key.
