Emergency locksmith for a lost key – Marbach am Neckar

No key, door shut: in Marbach am Neckar we open flat and front doors at a fixed price. What matters for the price: has the door just slammed shut (zugefallen), or is it locked (abgeschlossen)?

Ask whether anyone has a spare key, such as family or your landlord. If not, give us a call. Tell us whether the door just fell shut or whether it was locked.

Marbach am Neckar is on the Neckar north-east of Ludwigsburg, with an old town on the spur above the river. Typical buildings there are houses in narrow old-town lanes and 1970s houses in the estates on the slope. We always try a non-destructive opening first; only if that doesn’t work do we tell you beforehand what else is needed. In the old town, please tell us where we can stop briefly.

Door opening, door slammed shut: Mon–Fri 8 am–6 pm 99 €, Mon–Fri 6 pm–8 am, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays 149 €. Locked: 129 € or 179 €. If you want a new cylinder straight away because the key was lost with your address: Opening plus a new cylinder on the same call-out: slammed shut 148 € / 198 €, locked 178 € / 228 €; cylinder material typically 25–50 € (standard).

Saturday, 10 am, slammed shut, opening and new cylinder: 198 € plus material. Thursday, 1 pm, locked, opening and new cylinder: 178 € plus material. Thursday, 11:15 pm, locked, opening and new cylinder: 228 € plus material. We confirm the exact amount by phone before we set off.

We check the door and lock, open it without damage and check with you that you live there. Then you decide whether the cylinder should be changed.

We open the door so that the door, frame and cylinder stay intact. This works with most standard doors. Only with special cylinders or damaged locks may drilling be necessary; we tell you in advance, with the price, and you decide.

We only open the door if you live there or are authorised. Show your ID card or passport or, after opening, post with your address from inside the flat. This protects you from someone else having your door opened.

Leave a spare key with someone you trust, without an address tag. To avoid a door slamming shut on you, take a second to think about your key as you leave.

Find your second key and carry it from now on. Have a new spare key cut. If your address was on the lost key: change the cylinder.
