Lockout service for letterboxes – Erdmannhausen

A letterbox is small but important: official letters, bank post, parcel notices. In Erdmannhausen we come to you as a mobile service and open it, with a fixed price in advance.

A single letterbox on a house, or a bank of letterboxes in a block of flats? Is there still a key? Should a new lock be fitted? With this information we can tell you the price.

We come to Erdmannhausen, about 9.0 km as the crow flies from the ikeytz office in Adalbert-Stifter-Straße. A letterbox is rarely an emergency; we will find an appointment, ideally Monday to Friday during the day. In the new housing areas, the name of the area or a cross street helps.

There is no list price for letterboxes. We tell you a fixed price on the phone before we set off. No ‘from’ price, no surprises on site.

Check the name and your ID, open the letterbox, if possible without bending the flap. If you wish, a new lock with two keys.

Most letterboxes have a small lever lock or a mini cylinder that turns a bolt. Replacement locks come in many lengths and shapes. We measure beforehand so that the new lock fits and the flap closes tightly.

In blocks of flats, a letterbox in a shared unit usually belongs to the owner. A new lock should match the unit. We clarify this with you beforehand.

If there is an official letter with a deadline in the letterbox, tell us. Then we look for an early appointment. Deadlines often start when the letter is delivered to the letterbox, not when you read it; so it is worth not waiting long. Please clarify legal questions about this with the relevant authority.

Banks of letterboxes often belong to the landlord. A new lock should match the unit; we check this in advance.

It can make sense to keep your letterbox key separate from your flat key; then you do not lose everything at once.
