Key snapped, stolen or lost, a break-in, an older person locked out, a child alone in the flat, the cooker left on, at night or at the weekend: each situation has its own page with the process, the price and common questions. Choose the one that fits best. If you are unsure, call us; on the phone we find the right price with three questions.

If a person is in danger, for example a child alone with the cooker switched on, a person who does not answer, or smoke and a smell of gas, call 112. In emergencies the fire brigade opens the door itself. After a break-in, call 110 first. We are the right help when nobody is in danger and you simply want to get back in.

The price depends on a few questions: can you still get in, or are you locked out? Is the door slammed shut or locked? Should a new cylinder be fitted? Is it Mon–Fri between 8 am and 6 pm or not? This gives one of ten fixed prices: opening slammed shut 99 € / 149 €, locked 129 € / 179 €, opening with a new cylinder 148 € / 198 € or 178 € / 228 €, cylinder only with the door open 89 € / 119 €. Material is only added for an opening with a new cylinder, typically 25–50 € (standard); at 89 € / 119 € the standard cylinder is included. At night a separate fixed price applies, not a surcharge. Travel within the service area is included.

Key broken off in the lock. Key stolen, perhaps together with your ID. Key lost and locked out. A break-in, and the door no longer shuts. Elderly relatives can’t get back in. A child is alone in the flat. Worry that the cooker is still on. Locked out in the middle of the night. Locked out at the weekend or on a public holiday. Find a safe, well-lit place to wait, and a warm one in winter. Keep your mobile switched on. Ask neighbours or family for a spare key; if one turns up, just let us know. Don’t try to open the door yourself with a card, wire or tools. This often damages the frame, the seal or the cylinder and makes the opening more expensive.

We ask for your address and floor, whether the door has slammed shut (only the latch holds) or is locked (the bolt is thrown), whether the key is inside or lost and whether anyone in the flat needs help. Then we tell you the fixed price and our expected arrival time. We only set off once you agree.

We introduce ourselves by name, look at the door and usually open it without damage: via the latch if the door has slammed shut, via the cylinder if it is locked. Afterwards you show us your ID card or passport, or post with your address. If a new cylinder makes sense, we tell you so with the price, and you decide.

Our service area covers 52 towns and districts in the district of Ludwigsburg, from Ludwigsburg itself via Kornwestheim, Bietigheim-Bissingen and Marbach to Vaihingen an der Enz and Bönnigheim. Travel is included in the fixed price. We don’t have a shop; the office in Adalbert-Stifter-Straße is only our registered business address.

A trustworthy emergency locksmith gives you a total price on the phone, not just a minimum price. They explain what they are doing, check that you live there and give you an invoice listing every item. If you are put under pressure at the door, or someone wants to drill straight away without explaining why, ask questions or say no.

Mon–Fri 6 pm–8 am, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays in Baden-Württemberg have their own fixed prices: slammed shut 149 €, locked 179 €. This is not a surcharge on the daytime price but a separate price. If you can easily stay somewhere else and there is nothing urgent in the flat, you can wait until the daytime price applies again from 8 am Mon–Fri. If it is cold, or there are children or medicines in the flat, waiting is not worth it.

If the key is lost and your address was attached to it, the cylinder should be changed. We can do this on the same trip, or later while the door is open, for 89 € Mon–Fri during the day. Leave a spare key with someone you trust and save our number in your mobile, so you don’t have to search for it next time.

You can also call on behalf of parents, children or neighbours. Give us the name, the address and a phone number on site. We agree the price with you, and we open the door for the person who lives there.
