Lock change when tenants change – Gemmrigheim

New flat in Gemmrigheim, or just moved out? When tenants change, the old keys should no longer fit. ikeytz changes the euro profile cylinder of the flat door for this. The door is open, nothing gets broken. We tell you the fixed price on the phone before anyone sets off.

Is the door open? Is it about moving in or moving out? Is the cylinder part of the building’s master key system? With these three answers we can tell you the fixed price and roughly when we will arrive in Gemmrigheim.

ikeytz has no shop and comes to you in Gemmrigheim, about 17.1 km as the crow flies from the ikeytz office in Adalbert-Stifter-Straße. For a planned cylinder change when tenants move, we agree the day and time with you. We cover neighbouring places such as Walheim and Kirchheim am Neckar in the same way. Tell us whether you live down by the Neckar or up in the new housing area.

Cylinder change only, with the door open: Mon–Fri 8 am–6 pm 89 €, Mon–Fri 6 pm–8 am, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays 119 €. This includes travel, fitting and a standard euro profile cylinder. If the cylinder is part of a master key system, it is not a standard case: we then quote a separate fixed price in advance.

Saturday, 8 am, door open, cylinder only: 119 €. Wednesday, 11 am, door open, cylinder only: 89 €. Wednesday, 10 pm, door open, cylinder only: 119 €. We confirm the exact amount by phone before we set off.

We measure the cylinder inside and outside, choose the right length, pull out the old cylinder and fit the new one. Then you test every new key yourself. You get the old cylinder back in case the landlord wants it back when you move out.

Single cylinder: one key for one door. Keyed alike: one key for several of your own doors, such as the front door and the garage. Master key system: different keys, but they all open the shared front door. When tenants change, we usually replace the single cylinder of the flat door.

The cylinder fitted in your door usually belongs to the landlord. As a tenant, you can often swap it for your own, as long as you keep the old one safe and have it put back when you move out. With a master key system, the owner decides, because a swap can affect everyone in the building. If in doubt, talk to the property management first. ikeytz does not give legal advice, but we only change a cylinder when it is clear who is placing the order.

Agree with the landlord beforehand who pays and who gets the old cylinder. Write down who receives which new keys. A cylinder that is too long sticks out on the outside and is easier to attack; we choose the right length.

Write down who gets which new key. If agreed, give the landlord a key for emergencies. Label the old cylinder and keep it. The invoice belongs with your rental documents.
