Emergency locksmith: child alone in the flat – 74376

A child alone behind the door in Gemmrigheim is pure stress for parents. If your child is fine, we open the door without damage. If there is any danger, the rule is: call 112 first.

Talk calmly to your child through the door. Check whether the cooker, bath, balcony or windows are a danger. If there is danger: 112. Otherwise call us and stay at the door.

Gemmrigheim is on the Neckar between Besigheim and Kirchheim, with vineyards above the river. Typical buildings there are houses in the lower lanes by the river and new builds up on the slope. Tell us on the phone that a child is inside. Tell us whether you live down by the Neckar or up in the new housing area.

Usually the door has just slammed shut: 99 € Mon–Fri 8 am–6 pm, otherwise 149 €. If it was locked: 129 € or 179 €.

Friday, 9 am, locked: 129 €. Sunday, 8 am, locked: 179 €. Friday, 6:30 am, door slammed shut: 149 €. We confirm the exact amount by phone before we set off.

We usually open the door via the latch, without damaging the cylinder. With a door that has slammed shut, this is often quick. Then you are back with your child.

If the child has turned the key on the inside, the bolt is out. Then it is a locked door. We can usually open that without damage too; it just takes a little longer.

Nobody needs to feel embarrassed about calling 112 when a child is behind the door. Better once too often. The control centre decides whether the fire brigade comes. We are the right help once it is clear that there is no danger.

Is the child answering? Is the cooker off, is no water running, are the windows closed? Is there a key in the lock on the inside? Is the door slammed shut or locked? Danger: 112. Otherwise call us and stay at the door.

Rattling the door with force, which frightens the child. Asking the child to go to the lock or the window. Calling a locksmith first instead of 112 when there is danger.

Take time for your child. Take the key out of the lock when you leave the flat. A spare key with neighbours helps next time.
