Lock change after a lost key – Freiberg am Neckar

Your bunch of keys is gone, but the door in Freiberg am Neckar still opens because someone has a spare key. Now is the right time for a new cylinder. We tell you the price in advance and come to you as a mobile service.

Think about what else was on the key ring: front door, car, office, letterbox? Was your name or address on it? If so, the cylinder should be changed soon. If you rent and the key is part of a master key system, inform your landlord.

We come to you in Freiberg am Neckar, about 6.6 km as the crow flies from the ikeytz office in Adalbert-Stifter-Straße. If you can still get in, it is a planned cylinder change. If you are locked out, we open the door first and then fit the new cylinder in the same trip. Tell us whether it is Beihingen, Heutingsheim or Geisingen; the house number alone is often not enough.

Door open: 89 € Monday to Friday during the day, otherwise 119 €, standard cylinder included. If the door has to be opened first, the opening (99 € / 149 € slammed shut, 129 € / 179 € locked) is followed by fitting in the same trip for 49 €; the cylinder then typically costs 25–50 € (standard).

Monday, 10:30 am, door open, cylinder only: 89 €. Monday, 7 pm, door open, cylinder only: 119 €. Saturday, 3 pm, door open, cylinder only: 119 €. We confirm the exact amount by phone before we set off.

We check which cylinder is fitted, measure the length and fit a new one. You test the new keys yourself. You can have more keys cut later; with security profiles this is only possible with the security card.

The new cylinder has the same length as the old one, unless the old one stuck out too far. Then we choose a shorter one. The locking is new, and old keys no longer fit. If you want more protection, choose a security cylinder with a card.

If your key only locks your flat door, the case is simple: new cylinder, new keys, done. If it also locks the front door of the building, the basement and the letterbox, it is probably a master key system. Then the owner has to decide. In both cases, we tell you the price beforehand.

Check whether your liability or home contents insurance covers key loss before you have a master key system changed. Keep the invoice.

Carry your new keys without an address tag. Keep a spare key with someone you trust. Keep the invoice for your insurance.
