Lock change after a lost key – 71691

Lost your key in Freiberg am Neckar but you can still get into the flat, for example with a spare key? Then the question is who might find the lost key. A new cylinder makes it worthless. ikeytz changes it for you in Freiberg am Neckar at a fixed price.

Quickly check the usual places and ask at the local lost property office (Fundbüro). If the key is really gone, call us. Tell us whether you can still get into the flat; the price depends on it.

In Freiberg am Neckar you typically find houses in the three old village centres and commuter estates near the railway and the B27. Tell us whether the lost key also locks other doors; then we can plan for that straight away. Tell us whether it is Beihingen, Heutingsheim or Geisingen; the house number alone is often not enough.

If you can still get in: Cylinder change only, with the door open: Mon–Fri 8 am–6 pm 89 €, Mon–Fri 6 pm–8 am, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays 119 €. This includes travel, fitting and a standard euro profile cylinder. If you are locked out: opening and a new cylinder in one trip cost 148 € / 198 € (slammed shut) or 178 € / 228 € (locked), cylinder material typically 25–50 €.

Thursday, 11:15 pm, door open, cylinder only: 119 €. Thursday, 1 pm, locked out, slammed shut, new cylinder: 148 € plus material. Thursday, 1 pm, door open, cylinder only: 89 €. We confirm the exact amount by phone before we set off.

If you are inside, it is a simple swap: old cylinder out, new one in, test the lock. If you are outside, we first open the door without damage, if the door allows it, and then change the cylinder.

After losing a key, a new euro profile cylinder is almost always enough. The mortice lock in the door stays, because the key only operates the cylinder. We only replace the whole lock if it is damaged. This saves money and time.

If your key belongs to a master key system, losing it can affect the whole building. Tell the landlord or the property management. They decide whether only your cylinder or the whole system is changed. The cost for a system can be high; many personal liability insurance policies have a separate add-on for this. A single flat cylinder, on the other hand, is a standard case with a fixed price.

Waiting, even though your address and key were lost together. Only thinking about the lock on the flat door, but forgetting the garage or letterbox. Sending someone out without a fixed price.

A spare key with family or neighbours saves money next time. With security cylinders, keep the security card separate from the key.
