Emergency locksmith: child alone in the flat – 71735

A child alone behind the door in Eberdingen is pure stress for parents. If your child is fine, we open the door without damage. If there is any danger, the rule is: call 112 first.

If your child is crying and not answering, water is running, the cooker is on or a window is open: call 112 straight away. The fire brigade opens the door in such cases. Only when there is no danger are we the right help.

Eberdingen is on the Glems towards Vaihingen, made up of Eberdingen, Hochdorf and Nussdorf. Typical buildings there are houses at the edge of the village with a longer drive and old farmsteads in the centre. Tell us on the phone that a child is inside. Be sure to tell us the village: Eberdingen, Hochdorf or Nussdorf.

Usually the door has just slammed shut: 99 € Mon–Fri 8 am–6 pm, otherwise 149 €. If it was locked: 129 € or 179 €.

Monday, 11 am, locked: 129 €. Sunday, 8 am, locked: 179 €. Monday, 7 pm, door slammed shut: 149 €. We confirm the exact amount by phone before we set off.

Arrive, take a quick look at the door, open it without damage. While we work, keep talking to your child.

If the child has turned the key on the inside, the bolt is out. Then it is a locked door. We can usually open that without damage too; it just takes a little longer.

Nobody needs to feel embarrassed about calling 112 when a child is behind the door. Better once too often. The control centre decides whether the fire brigade comes. We are the right help once it is clear that there is no danger.

Children sense when adults are panicking. Talk calmly, sing a song or tell a story through the door. That helps more than rattling the handle.

Rattling the door with force, which frightens the child. Asking the child to go to the lock or the window. Calling a locksmith first instead of 112 when there is danger.

Take time for your child. Take the key out of the lock when you leave the flat. A spare key with neighbours helps next time.
