Emergency locksmith for a stolen key – Tamm

A stolen key is more serious than a lost one, because someone has it on purpose. In Tamm (71732) we change the cylinder of your flat or front door. If you are locked out, we open the door first.

1. Report it to the police. 2. Block your cards. 3. Call us and tell us whether you can still get in. 4. Tell your landlord if the key belongs to a master key system.

After a theft, a quick change is what counts. Typical buildings in Tamm are terraced houses and 1970s multi-storey buildings near the S-Bahn stop. With multi-storey buildings, please tell us the entrance and the floor.

Locked out: opening plus a new cylinder 148 € / 198 € (slammed shut) or 178 € / 228 € (locked), material typically 25–50 €. Door open: 89 € Mon–Fri 8 am–6 pm, otherwise 119 €.

Thursday, 10:30 am, locked, opening and new cylinder: 178 € plus material. Thursday, 10:30 am, slammed shut, opening only: 99 €. Thursday, 11:15 pm, locked, opening and new cylinder: 228 € plus material. We confirm the exact amount by phone before we set off.

Check which door is affected. Open it if you are locked out. Change the cylinder, test the locking, hand over the keys. Invoice for your insurance or police report.

Write down which keys were on the key ring. The flat door and the front door matter most. The garage, letterbox and cellar come next. For every door with a cylinder we quote a fixed price. With a master key system, the owner decides about the whole system.

A single cylinder is changed quickly. If the stolen key belongs to a master key system, the owner decides what happens next. Until then, your own cylinder in your flat door can be a temporary solution, if the landlord agrees.

Waiting to see if the key turns up again. Blocking only your bank cards and forgetting the lock. Leaving the spare key with neighbours with a name tag on it.

Carry your new keys without an address. Apply for new bank cards and a new ID card. File the invoice and the police report together.
