Emergency locksmith for a lost key – 71563

No key, door shut: in Affalterbach we open flat and front doors at a fixed price. What matters for the price: has the door just slammed shut (zugefallen), or is it locked (abgeschlossen)?

Ask whether anyone has a spare key, such as family or your landlord. If not, give us a call. Tell us whether the door just fell shut or whether it was locked.

When you are locked out, you want to get back in fast. Typical buildings in Affalterbach are detached houses on the edge of the village and flats above shops in the centre. On the edge of the village, a short description of the access road helps.

Slammed shut 99 € Mon–Fri 8 am–6 pm, otherwise 149 €. Locked 129 € or 179 €. With a new cylinder: 148 € / 198 € or 178 € / 228 €, plus material.

Monday, 4 pm, slammed shut, opening only: 99 €. Saturday, 10 am, slammed shut, opening and new cylinder: 198 € plus material. Monday, 7 pm, locked, opening and new cylinder: 228 € plus material. We confirm the exact amount by phone before we set off.

We check the door and lock, open it without damage and check with you that you live there. Then you decide whether the cylinder should be changed.

The latch is the slanted bolt that clicks into place when you pull the door shut. The bolt only comes out when you lock the door. We usually open doors that have slammed shut via the latch, without touching the cylinder. With locked doors we work on the cylinder. That is why we ask about it on the phone.

In a rented flat, the landlord may also have a spare key. Ask them if you can reach them. If the lost key belongs to a master key system, you need to tell them anyway.

Leave a spare key with someone you trust, without an address tag. To avoid a door slamming shut on you, take a second to think about your key as you leave.

A spare key with family, friends or neighbours saves time and money. Never put your address on your key ring.
