Locked out at 80 in Markgröningen (71706), in winter, with a flat phone battery? It happens. ikeytz comes to you, gives the fixed price first and explains every step.

If someone inside the flat does not respond, has fallen or is calling for help, dial 112 straight away. In emergencies the fire brigade opens the door itself. We are there for cases where nobody is in danger.

Markgröningen is west of Ludwigsburg on the Glems, with a half-timbered old town on the high ground. Typical buildings there are very old half-timbered houses with doors in non-standard sizes and prefabricated houses on the edge. We ask to see an ID card or post with the address, so we are sure we are opening the right door. With old half-timbered doors, tell us whether there is a modern cylinder or an old rim lock, if you know.

Door opening, door slammed shut: Mon–Fri 8 am–6 pm 99 €, Mon–Fri 6 pm–8 am, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays 149 €. Locked: 129 € or 179 €. No surcharge for older people, no call-out fee within the service area.

Wednesday, 10 pm, door slammed shut: 149 €. Sunday, 3 pm, locked: 179 €. Wednesday, 1 pm, door slammed shut: 99 €. We confirm the exact amount by phone before we set off.

We explain beforehand what we will do. Then we open the door without damage. Afterwards we quickly check that the key and lock are fine, and we give you an invoice.

If a care service comes regularly, a key safe on the wall is a help. With a home emergency call service (Hausnotruf) you can often leave a key. Both save valuable time in an emergency.

Sadly, there are dubious firms that put older people under pressure at the door. Always ask for the total price before any work starts. Do not let anyone talk you into extra work. With us, the price we give you on the phone is the price that applies.

If the person is standing outside in winter or important medication is in the flat, tell us. Ask neighbours to bring the person inside until we arrive.

Don’t let anyone talk you into work you didn’t order. Always ask for the total price first. Don’t sign anything you don’t understand.

A spare key with neighbours or relatives helps next time. A key safe on the wall is an option if carers visit.
